Here, Nebbiolo ripens slowly across vineyards that stretch across crus like Gallina, Por\u00e9t and Muncagota. They succeeded.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the cooperative controls vineyards across nine of the region&#8217;s most historic crus. The philosophy remains unchanged: minimal intervention, long ageing, deep respect for terroir. They seek the true, not the spectacular.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Barbaresco&#8221; DOCG \u2014 their classic label \u2014 is what you drink when you want to understand what the word Barbaresco means.
